I love buying gifts for my nieces, they're so easy to buy for, but the problem is I always see something else I want to get them too. And if I had the money I would probably spoil them rotten, but I don't unfortunately.
Anyway, below are some cool birthday gift ideas for girls.

Do we need to hold a general strike in Britain?

After all, the demonstration held yesterday, March 26th 2011 would have no effect on the cuts of the government according to Vince Cable.
Vince Cable is a British Liberal Democrat politician and is currently the business Secretary.

He quite clearly stated this morning, on the politics show, that the 250,00 + people that demonstrated against the cuts yesterday in London, had wasted their time because the coalition government would not take the views of those people into consideration.
With an attitude like that, who can really blame those few that broke away from the demonstration and demonstrated in a more violent way, breaking windows and vandalising the banks and The Ritz hotel.
If the voices of 250,000 people aren't going to be taken into account, or even considered, then we need to take this to the next level.  The whole country needs to be striking and showing these idiots who are running our country, that we aren't going to take this.
One of the only problems is at the moment, is that the current Labour leader, Ed Milliband, is pretty poor when it comes to speaking. Unfortunately, he lacks charisma and is unable to hold peoples attention when speaking. In my opinion anyway.
If the strike yesterday was too small for the government to notice, then lets take it to the next stage.
A general strike is needed. We beat Maggie Thatcher and we can beat this government and the cuts they are enforcing on us.
